This document constitutes the legal basis that governs the online medical services offered by URIMECUM S.L. (hereinafter referred to as BORAMEDIC) on its website www.boramedic.com.

Any issues not addressed in this document will be supplemented by other legal texts published on www.boramedic.com, as well as by current legal regulations.

Users who purchase any of the medical services offered will be subject to the policies and terms in effect at the time of purchase. To this end, the terms and conditions of purchase will always include the date of their publication, to provide legal certainty for the user.

What is BORAMEDIC and how does it work?

BORAMEDIC is a health company focused on providing medical services and telemedicine assistance. It was created to meet the need for fast and effective virtual patient care. We are a medical group made up of specialists, researchers, advisors, and complementary therapists in all specialties, who will guide patients on various types of pathologies, both in the genitourinary system and in general medicine. Our goal is to provide comprehensive well-being to all our patients and their surroundings. Additionally, we offer complementary therapy services, including psychology, nutrition, among others.

At BORAMEDIC, we provide an initial general online medical consultation for free as a first step, after which patients can consult specialists regarding treatments, diagnostic tools, and suggestions for treatments and complementary therapies in the field of genitourinary health, etc. This allows us to ensure that patients’ health issues are addressed correctly and in a timely manner.

Who can use our services?

BORAMEDIC is a telemedicine service exclusively for adults with full legal capacity, as required by the laws of the user’s country. BORAMEDIC will request that the user confirms they are of legal age before proceeding with managing their information. In cases where specific services for minors are offered, the intervention of a parent or legal guardian will be required for proper authorization and management of the process.

At BORAMEDIC, we have a fully trained medical team ready to provide the best medical care. At BORAMEDIC, you can access two types of services:

Free services:

  • First consultation and scheduling of a medical appointment online at no cost: First, contact us via chat, where you will find several options to choose from according to your needs. Then, provide your personal information through the form available in the chat and send it to schedule a consultation. Afterward, you will be notified when your consultation will take place through one of our live channels. Based on the diagnosis received, you will be assigned a specialist for your case.

Paid services: When does the medical service have a cost?

Although BORAMEDIC offers a free general medical consultation service to guide you regarding your health, if needed, we will refer you to the specialty of your choice (urology, oncological urology, bioregulatory medicine, nutrition, neuroscience, pediatrics, sexual health, complementary therapies, etc.). Medical consultations with specialists incur a fee detailed in our “Price Catalog and Information” section:

  1. Unless otherwise stated on the Website, all prices for specialized medical consultations listed on the Website or otherwise published by BORAMEDIC include legally applicable taxes. If the service includes any type of tax or fee, it will be clearly indicated before payment.
  2. Unless otherwise specified, service fees are as follows:
    2.1. Medical consultation: Free of charge. This process has no cost to the patient. Here, the medical advisor will guide the patient on their health; if necessary, the patient will be referred to a specialist.
    2.2. General medical consultation or consultation with a specialist: These consultations will have specific fees for each specialty, detailed in our RATES section on our website. For more information, click here. These fees will also be clearly indicated during the order process.
  3. The contents of the Website have been compiled with the utmost care. However, BORAMEDIC cannot guarantee that all information provided on the Website is accurate and complete at all times. Therefore, all prices and other information provided on the Website and in BORAMEDIC’s communication materials are subject to obvious programming, writing, or spelling errors.
  4. Purchase Process:
    4.1. The purchase process is automated. We have a payment link that redirects to the payment platform, which guides you through each necessary step and connects with the virtual POS of the bank to manage card payments. Once we receive the notification of your purchase and verify the payment through the payment gateway, we will send you an email with the confirmation of your purchase and the corresponding invoice.
    4.2. Available Payment Method: The only available payment method is through a secure payment gateway. The conditions under which this online payment processing platform operates are determined by the service provider, absolving BORAMEDIC of any liability in this area.

What if I can’t attend my previously paid appointment?

For cancellations, the deadline is 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. If the patient has not canceled at least 24 hours in advance and does not show up within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, the appointment will be canceled without the right to a refund.

What are the available hours for online consultations?

You can contact us anytime you need. Our online service is available 24 hours a day.

Do you accept health insurance for online specialist consultations?

Currently, we do not accept any type of health insurance for online specialist consultations. This is because, by offering an immediate response service, we cannot meet the authorization deadlines required by insurers. However, after the consultation, you will receive an invoice that you can use to request reimbursement from your insurer.

How can I pay for BORAMEDIC’s medical services?

Remember that our initial medical consultations (initial orientations) are free. If you want a more in-depth consultation with a specialist, we suggest you schedule a medical appointment through the chat on our website. There, you will be redirected to the process where we offer different online payment methods.

Can I receive my online appointment via a mobile phone?

Yes, it is entirely possible to receive your online appointment through a mobile phone. Our online appointment system is designed to be compatible with mobile devices, allowing you to easily access your appointment from the comfort of your phone.

What happens if the internet connection is interrupted during the consultation?

If your call is interrupted during the virtual appointment due to internet issues, we will contact you again. Remember that at the beginning of your call, we will ask for your personal information.

How is the diagnostic process carried out during an online consultation?

To ensure an efficient teleconsultation, it is essential that the patient or their companion provides complete details about their case, medical history, and any relevant reports. Having all the necessary information from the patient or their companion facilitates the diagnostic process during the teleconsultation, allowing the specialist to perform a more accurate assessment and offer appropriate recommendations.

Do you offer teletherapy or online mental health counseling services?

What if I cannot attend my scheduled appointment?

Since this is an online service, payment is made in advance, and the service is provided as requested. Therefore, if the service has been provided, no withdrawal or refund is possible. Only in cases where technical issues prevent the service from being delivered would BORAMEDIC offer the option of scheduling a new consultation under the same terms as originally booked, on a date agreed upon by the patient. Withdrawal is only permitted in specific cases where the service has been scheduled, and more than 24 hours remain before it is provided. See the “Cases where appointment rescheduling is allowed” section. There, the user can describe their situation to reschedule their appointment by emailing info@boramedic.com.

In other situations, you may submit a complaint or grievance in writing to BORAMEDIC’s customer service at the following email: info@boramedic.com.

Cases where appointment rescheduling is allowed:

  • Technical failure or platform inconsistencies: If the consultation cannot take place due to technical issues, such as failures or problems with the telemedicine platform, the medical appointment will be rescheduled.
  • Unjustified absence of the physician: If the physician does not attend the scheduled consultation without a justified reason and without prior notice (before 24 hours), an available time will be found between both parties to reschedule the medical appointment.

In what cases can I request a refund?

If the following situation occurs, send us an email to info@boramedic.com detailing your case, and we will find a solution. BORAMEDIC will have up to 15 days to process your refund through the agreed payment method.

Cases where the possibility of a refund will be validated:

  • Billing errors: If it is confirmed that an incorrect charge was made or more than the agreed amount was charged, the respective additional amount will be refunded.
  • Persistence in the unjustified absence of the physician: If the physician fails to attend the scheduled consultation without a justified reason and without prior notice (before 24 hours), an available time will be sought between both parties to reschedule the medical appointment. If this persists, the case will be reviewed to validate a possible refund for the value of the consultation within the next 15 days.
